About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager specialized in Cloud & Migration projects to join long-term initiatives within the banking and financial services industry

This role is ideal for someone who can operate at the intersection of project management, cloud architecture, software delivery, and stakeholder communication You won't be managing timelines only — you'll be working closely with engineering teams, cloud specialists, business stakeholders, and client-side technology leaders to ensure complex migration initiatives are delivered with structure, visibility, and technical alignment.

You'll support different types of cloud and modernization projects, including on-premise to cloud migrations, cloud-to-cloud transitions, legacy platform modernization, infrastructure transformation, application migration, DevOps enablement, and cloud adoption initiatives

This is a long-term, indefinite opportunity for someone based in Colombia who wants to contribute to strategic technology projects in a highly regulated environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end technology projects related to cloud migration, application modernization, infrastructure transformation, and banking platform evolution

  • Work closely with engineering, DevOps, architecture, security, QA, and business teams to ensure project objectives are clear, realistic, and aligned.

  • Act as a key bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical complexity into actionable plans and clear communication.

  • Support migration strategies such as Lift & Shift, Replatforming, Refactoring, Hybrid Cloud adoption, and cloud-native modernization

  • Coordinate projects involving different cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid/multi-cloud environments

  • Track project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, blockers, and delivery milestones.

  • Identify and manage technical risks related to infrastructure, security, compliance, data migration, integrations, performance, and availability.

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and delivery routines using frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery models

  • Work with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to maintain project visibility and delivery control.

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to manage expectations, communicate progress, and ensure alignment across business and technical priorities.

  • Support cloud governance, DevOps practices, release planning, and production readiness activities.

  • Promote strong communication, accountability, and delivery discipline across distributed teams.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, IT Project Management, Scrum Master, Agile Delivery, Technical Lead, or similar roles

  • Previous experience leading or coordinating projects in software development, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, or platform modernization

  • Solid understanding of cloud concepts and migration initiatives across AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid cloud, or multi-cloud environments

  • Experience working with technical teams in projects involving APIs, integrations, data flows, infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, environments, deployments, or legacy systems.

  • Strong ability to manage stakeholders, priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery expectations.

  • Previous experience in banking, fintech, financial services, insurance, or regulated industries is highly valuable.

  • Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.

  • Advanced English level — able to participate in technical and business conversations with international stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, Monday, MS Project, or similar platforms

  • Ability to understand technical discussions and challenge assumptions without needing to be the deepest technical expert in the room.

  • Strong ownership, organization, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work with distributed teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with banking core systems, digital banking platforms, payment systems, transactional platforms, or financial integrations.

  • Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, governance, networking, IAM, observability, or disaster recovery concepts.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, release management, or environment management.

  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, or similar.
