Front Desk Receptionist – Nephrology Practice
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy nephrology office. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while ensuring efficient front-office operations and a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and other required documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Assist patients with registration forms and office procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data integrity
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff members
• Perform general administrative and front desk duties as needed
Qualifications:
• Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Athenahealth (Athena EMR) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical office procedures is a plus
