
Working under the supervision and direction of more experienced attorneys, completes legal assignments that are more difficult in nature, but usually involve limited responsibility. Work involves litigation and legal research; drafting legal documents; and interpreting laws, rules, and regulations OR prosecutes misdemeanor cases in assigned court. Manages assigned court, trains Attorney I's and monitors their performance and acts as a primary liaison with court judge. Performs case evaluation, preparation, and management; represents the state/client in pre-trial and evidentiary hearings and jury/court trials; and ensures effective communications with defense attorneys, court personnel, victims and family members, witnesses and other interested parties. 1. Manages court docket, court schedules and ensures deadlines are met.

determining most appropriate action(s) to be taken.

presenting opening statements,
conducting direct and cross-examinations of witnesses, and
presenting closing arguments.
Graduation from an accredited law school. Six (6) months of experience practicing law.
Requires a current license to practice law in the State of Texas. Requires experience prosecuting all levels of misdemeanor offenses, including jury selection.
