
Under general supervision, is responsible for maintaining fixed asset inventory control for the County; prepares reports; performs data entry; monitors and inspects fixed assets; and performs related duties as required. 1. Receives, tags, and conducts inventory of County property.
Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Four (4) years job related experience or 60 hours of college or a combination of the two. Experience in a customer service or inventory management/supply environment a plus.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to type 35 wpm or 70 kspm, with knowledge of computer applications and standard word processing software and general office procedures Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy; organize and process work and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees and the general public. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record. Will be required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history. Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code. May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek. Must pass an extensive background investigation.
Physical/Environmental Demands
Physical requirements include frequently lifting/carrying of 10-30 lbs. and occasionally 30 – 75 lbs.; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate computer keyboard; typewriter, and basic office equipment. Subject to bending, walking, sitting, bending, reaching and twisting to perform the essential functions.
