Job Description
Microsoft is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive business growth and digital transformation with Sony Group, one of Microsoft’s most strategic enterprise customers in Japan.
This role is responsible for building trusted executive relationships, developing long-term account strategies, and helping customers accelerate innovation through Microsoft Cloud, Data, Security, AI, and Copilot solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with customer executives, business leaders, and technical stakeholders while orchestrating cross-functional Microsoft teams to deliver measurable business outcomes and strengthen Microsoft’s strategic partnership with Sony.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to Sony’s business priorities and transformation initiatives. Build trusted advisor relationships with executive sponsors, business decision makers, and technology leaders across Sony Group companies. Identify, qualify, and close complex business opportunities across Microsoft Cloud, Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, Data, AI, Copilot, and Dynamics 365 portfolios. Lead customer conversations around AI transformation, business innovation, productivity improvement, and modernization strategies.Drive collaboration across Microsoft specialists, engineering teams, customer success teams, and global stakeholders to achieve customer and business outcomes. Manage high-value enterprise agreements and complex negotiations while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term growth. Develop executive engagement plans, business reviews, and strategic initiatives that strengthen Microsoft’s partnership with Sony. Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and accountability for revenue growth and customer success.
Qualifications
• Several years of enterprise sales, strategic account management, or business development experience.Proven experience managing large and complex enterprise customers.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior executives and influence decision making across large organizations. Experience developing and executing account strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.Strong understanding of cloud computing, digital transformation, data, security, and AI technologies.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams in highly matrixed environments.Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.Fluent Japanese communication skills required.Business-level English communication skills nessary Experience with cloud platforms, AI transformation initiatives, or large enterprise agreements is highly desirable.
