🖥️ Hyper-V Engineer | VMware → Hyper-V Migration

We’re looking for an experienced Hyper-V Engineer to join a multi-site infrastructure project focused on migrating private cloud environments from VMware to Microsoft Hyper-V.

🌎 Location: Latin America

🏠Work Model: 100% Remote

⏰Employment: Full-Time

📄Contract Type: Contractor Agreement

💵Compensation: Monthly payment in USD

🗣️Languages: Advanced English & Spanish required

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Build and manage Windows Server Hyper-V failover clusters
• Work with CSV, Live Migration, iSCSI & Fibre Channel SANs
• Manage virtualization platforms using SCVMM & Active Directory
• Lead VMware vSphere/ESXi → Hyper-V migrations using Veeam
• Optimize workloads after migration and troubleshoot performance issues
• Collaborate with Networking & Security teams on VLANs, virtual firewalls & DR
• Handle complex workloads, including Legacy OS and SAP HANA environments
• Document solutions and communicate effectively with customers

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server & virtualization experience
• Proven production experience with Hyper-V clusters
• Real-world VMware → Hyper-V migration experience
• Strong knowledge of SCVMM, Failover Clustering, AD, DNS & Group Policy
• Solid SAN, VLAN, virtual switching & NIC teaming knowledge
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
• PowerShell scripting/automation skills
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills

⭐ Nice to Have: AZ-800/AZ-801 or VMCE certifications, Azure/AWS, MSP or multi-tenant hosting experience, FortiGate, Dell iDRAC or Live Optics.
