カトリック宗教教育コーディネーター募集

職務概要

カトリックチャプレン（司祭）を支援し、カトリック宗教教育（RE）プログラムの全体的な運営を担当します。年間計画の策定、ボランティアの調整、予算管理、秘跡準備、コミュニティアウトリーチなどを含みます。

主な業務内容

• 年間宗教教育計画（初聖体・堅信・VBS・リトリートなど）の立案と実施

• 予算の作成および管理、教材や備品の調達、施設利用の手配

• 米国業者からの教材発注を含む教材選定

• ボランティアの募集、訓練、管理

• 印刷物およびSNS等を使った広報活動の実施

• 参加者数、予算、活動実績等の記録と報告書の作成

• 安全対策、背景調査、施設使用ルール等の遵守

• チャプレンや礼拝堂スタッフへの定期的な報告

応募資格

• カトリック教義と実践に関する十分な理解

• 児童教育または関連分野の学位、または1年以上の教育経験

• 多宗教環境での勤務に柔軟に対応できること

• 優れた組織力・コミュニケーション能力・リーダーシップ

• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher の中級以上のスキル

• SharePoint やSNSの使用経験があれば尚可

• 自主的かつ専門的に業務を遂行できる能力

• 英語の読み書き・会話能力（英語が母語でない場合は以下のいずれかのスコアが望ましい）：

  • TOEIC：860点以上

  • TOEFL：PBT 600点、CBT 250点、iBT 100点以上

  • 英検：1級

Job Title: Catholic Religious Education Coordinator

Position Type: Contractor
Work Hours: Flexible, 20 hours per week
Location: Misawa Air Base, Japan

Support the Catholic Chaplain by managing and executing all aspects of the Catholic Religious Education (RE) program. This includes planning, volunteer coordination, budgeting, sacramental preparation, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop annual RE plans including sacraments (First Communion, Confirmation), VBS, retreats, and youth outreach

• Create and manage budgets, track supplies, and coordinate facility use

• Select and order educational materials, including from U.S. vendors

• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers

• Manage event publicity through print and digital media

• Maintain records of participants, budget reports, and program outcomes

• Ensure compliance with safety policies, background checks, and chapel standards

• Provide regular updates and reports to the Catholic Chaplain and chapel leadership

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Catholic teachings and practices

• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience or a degree in childhood education or related field

• Ability to work respectfully in a multi-faith military chapel environment

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher

• Experience with SharePoint and social media preferred

• Ability to work independently and professionally

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly

  If English is not your first language, the following scores are preferred:

  • TOEIC: 860+

  • TOEFL: PBT 600+, CBT 250+, iBT 100+

  • EIKEN: Grade 1
