This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Scale Operator II will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of weighing inbound and outbound vehicles (trucks, trains and barges) and issue sale tickets following standard policies and procedures and completing grading procedures per certified processes. In this role, you will weigh and grade vehicles to ensure accurate quantities are recorded.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operate scales including weighing inbound and outbound trucks, interacting with customers and issuing scale tickets per regular guidance.
  • Execute grading procedures per certified processes.
  • Operate and monitor control systems for dump equipment and conveyor systems to move materials to specified storage location.
  • Run daily reports, balance statements and coordinate or administer the cross checks of scale equipment.
  • Perform housekeeping responsibilities to maintain safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures including equipment lockout tag outs.
  • Other duties as assigned
