You'll make an impact by
- Account Planning
- Define short and mid-term goals for driving new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts, with focus on OEM and End users, within the assigned sales channel and relevant accounts. These goals aim to align with the overall sales channel and regional strategy, ensuring both short-term revenue generation and mid-term growth opportunities.
- Classify accounts into tiers based on their strategic importance and define engagement models per segment (high-touch vs. digital-led strategies).
- Develop individual account strategies and plans for each account (within sales channel), aligning with the customer's buyer journey to reach short- and mid-term goals.
- Prioritize prospects and accounts to ensure resources are allocated in proportion to their tactical or strategic importance.
- Identify the necessary go-to-market channels, campaigns, and market strategies to fulfill account plan objectives.
- Schedule and plan customer interactions to foster relationships, drive customer engagement, and ensure alignment with sales objectives. Maintain good interaction and communication with customers through online communication tools such as phone calls, WeChat, Teams, etc. Understand customers’ needs, complete sales tasks, and establish long-term cooperative relationships with customers.
- Conduct periodical reviews to track progress and realign strategies.
- Utilize market intelligence, CRM insights, and performance data to measure success against defined goals. Identify emerging opportunities, market trends, and adjust tactical execution accordingly.
- Present and discuss findings ensuring alignment with leadership priorities.
- Prospecting and Discovery
- Take full ownership of the opportunity pipeline, managing each stage from creation to closure. Leverage available analytics to assess pipeline size, composition, and health, ensuring a clear understanding of required actions.
- Execute marketing-led campaigns within the assigned customers, leveraging available assets and resources to drive engagement and pipeline growth.
- Proactively establish relationships with assigned new customers to understand their challenges and needs, creating an influence map, thereby actively driving new customer opportunities.
- Evaluate customers’ requirements, identifying the best potential solution fit; the proposed ROI and potential value improvement metrics and targets, determining the most appropriate go to market channel and message to pursue the opportunity with.
- Analyze the customer’s financial status, perform an opportunity risk assessment, and agree with the Sales Manager on the necessary sales investment based on potential revenue.
- Opportunity Management
- Drive opportunities forward within accounts by engaging decision-makers and key stakeholders, providing business insights that highlight the need for change.
- Build consensus and align goals through effective stakeholder identification and engagement.
- Define the necessary team, including Sales Specialists and Technical Sales roles, to provide expertise and support in advancing the deal.
- Translate value statements into opportunity specific value propositions, addressing current and emerging customer needs and demonstrating measurable impact on customers’ business performance and be able to communicate using direct communications, digital communications and in person presentations.
- Identify and apply the appropriate pricing model, including any agreed-upon discounts or terms, to ensure competitiveness and alignment with the opportunity.
- Seek additional pricing support or special terms, as necessary, to secure the opportunity and meet strategic goals.
- Builds a broad influential network and community of advocates inside the account to drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate risks associated with active sales opportunities, including changes in customer needs, market conditions, and competitive activity. Ensure ongoing alignment and readiness to address any issues that could impact the success of the opportunity.
- Manage negotiations and deal closings effectively.
- Team Orchestration
- Orchestrate internal teams and sales resources to align expertise and efforts dynamically, focusing on strategic priorities to ensure consistent delivery of value to customers and effective account engagement.
- Sales Administration, Analytics and Reporting
- Accountable for providing accurate forecasts and planning information.
- Maintain accurate and complete customer records, activities, and pipeline reports within applicable CRM tools.
- Participate in Win/Loss reviews to identify lessons learned and adopt recommendations.
- Compile relevant insights from reports for Sales Management and Sales Meetings.
- Keeps sales skills, domain know-how, and industry/branch know-how up to date.
Your defining qualities
- Bachelor's or above degree holder in Industrial Automation, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics (E&E), Information Technology (IT), and related majors.
- 3 to 5 years of practical sales working experience in low voltage, automation, digital, certain branch applications, or key account management experience preferred.
- Familiar with Siemens Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) products and processes. General knowledge in 1 to 2 industry verticals (e.g., manufacturing).
- Able to interact with target groups using effective and respectful communication methods, apply negotiation techniques to reach satisfactory agreements, and capable of preparing and presenting information according to target group needs.
- Experience in digital sales (digital sales, inside sales) is a plus.
- Accustomed to remote work, efficiently expanding, developing, and maintaining customer resources through online tools and resources.
- Cultivates a growth mindset, is self-motivated to go the extra mile, and is resilient when facing challenges.
- Possesses basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
