Job Description

Company profile: Our client, a leading Greek company operating in the Environmental and Waste management sector, with modern industrial facilities and a strong focus on operational excellence and sustainability, is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineering Manager

We are looking for a technically strong and hands‑on professional with solid experience in industrial maintenance environments. The role is responsible for planning, supervising and optimizing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards. The position combines technical leadership with strong coordination skills, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and effective collaboration with production and external partners.

The role is based in Aspropyros

Requirements

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, in close cooperation with the Plant Manager
  • Ensuring high availability and reliability of machinery and production equipment
  • Monitoring and analysing performance indicators of machinery and production assets
  • Allocation of tasks and organisation of shifts for technical staff
  • Management of the maintenance budget and control of costs related to spare parts, tools and external services
  • Submission of proposals for improvement, upgrading of existing equipment or replacement of machinery
  • Participation in modernisation projects and installation of new machinery
  • Contribution to the design and delivery of training programmes for technical personnel
  • Active involvement in performance evaluations and the continuous development of the technical team
  • Promotion of a strong health and safety culture and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and monitoring indicators related to pollution, emissions and waste generation
  • Ensuring adherence to the company’s internal policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field will be considered an additional asset
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in industrial production facilities
  • Experience in recycling or waste management plants will be considered an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques for mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment
  • Experience with automation systems and PLCs will be considered a plus
  • Very good command of the English language
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
